Create demand forecasting models incorporating historical sales data, seasonality patterns, trend analysis, promotional impacts, and external factors like economic indicators and competitor activities. Develop safety stock calculations for each SKU based on demand variability, lead time variability, service level targets, and cost of stockout versus carrying cost. Create reorder point formulas considering lead time demand, safety stock requirements, and order frequency optimization. Develop economic order quantity models balancing ordering costs and holding costs. Create ABC classification systems prioritizing inventory management intensity based on revenue contribution, profit margin, and strategic importance. Implement inventory tracking methodologies including perpetual systems, cycle counting schedules, and annual physical inventory procedures. Create reorder strategies including fixed order quantity, fixed interval order, min-max systems, and just-in-time approaches. Develop obsolete and slow-moving inventory identification and management including markdown optimization, donation strategies, liquidation processes, and write-off policies. Create vendor management frameworks including lead time negotiation, order minimum optimization, quality standards, drop-ship capabilities, and performance scorecards. Include multichannel inventory allocation strategies for splitting stock across warehouses, stores, and fulfillment centers while preventing overselling. Develop inventory analytics dashboards tracking turnover ratios, days of inventory outstanding, fill rates, backorder rates, and carrying costs as percentage of inventory value. The system should integrate with ERP platforms, warehouse management systems, and ecommerce platforms.
